An underground alternative rock artist.
Disruptive songs with an art pop, art rock feel. Intuitively stitching and deconstructing their writing, Citruks layers subtle messaging in Dutch mother tongue over a mix of sparse electronics, bass guitar, and percussion. The music carries verve, with some eighties post-punk influence and a touch of smartlap. Emotion first, meaning second, with lyrics drawn from the streets or even what you’ve read, plus a bit of randomness and a bit of ease.
