An underground pop artist.
Madden is an 19 year old Brooklyn-based songwriter, vocalist and guitarist. She is a freshmen at The Clive Davis Institute for Recorded Music at NYU. Born and raised in New York City, Madden takes influence from artists like Amy Winehouse, Stevie Nicks, Pink and Maggie Rogers. During the pandemic, Madden dove deep into songwriting, turning her struggles and vulnerabilities into lyrics. In 2023, she teamed up with producer James Talbot in his Nashville, TN studio to record a collection of solo compositions including "Lead Me On" and "How Do You Say Goodbye" for an EP release in 2024. For her first EP in 2019, Madden recorded songs with producer, Chris Keup (Jason Mraz) after writing with the likes of Sacha Skarbek (Adele, Lana Del Ray), Jasper Leak (Sia), David Turley (Millie Turner) and more. Her debut collection was a mix of collaborations and solo compositions, recorded between Charlottesville, VA and Brooklyn, NY. Madden's music reflects mainstream pop sensibilities while also leaning into the raw honesty of folk and Americana.
Madden Novogratz creates acoustic pop and folk-infused music, blending mainstream sensibilities with honest songwriting, as heard on her track "Lead Me On".
