An underground folk rock artist.
Laura Jane Vincent is a performer, multi-instrumentalist, and singer-songwriter. Raised in rural southeast North Carolina, she writes ballads of strength, loss, and triumph featuring stories of those who should know better but just simply can't help themselves. She cut her teeth in various music scenes living in Charleston, sc, Asheville, nc & Nashville, tn, briefly but has performed at hundreds of notable venues all over the southeast, northeast, and Midwest. Warbling with red-clay-’tween-the-toes lyrics, her compositions are deeply rooted in Southern musical traditions. She now resides in Glendon, North Carolina, where she is the creator and curator of the twice annual music festival, Glendonfest. In addition to performing and curating, Laura Jane Vincent is the CEO of Street Place entertainment. A record label and artist representation company, specializing in career growth, Street Place provides assistance with management, PR, and booking, for a rotating roster of local and regional clients. Vincent takes enormous pride and pleasure in sharing with the community her wisdom gained through years of her work as a professional musician.
