La Porteña y los Piratas

La Porteña y los Piratas are a seafaring crew of electro cumbia and global fusion, sailing the currents of Latin rhythms, electronic beats, and pure good vibes. Formed in Barcelona, this cosmopolitan band of 7 musicians from 6 different countries reflects the vibrant, multicultural spirit of the city they are living in. Since setting sail, they’ve released two EPs filled with 100% original tracks: Zarpando and La Cumbia nos Salvará, charting their course through a sound that blends cumbia, rock, and electronic textures. In July 2025, they dropped the live session of “El Diablo en Casa”, a bold cumbia ragga track echoing today’s social and political tides. That same raw energy can be felt in their live version of "La Cumbia nos Salvará", recorded at Sol de Sants Studio, now enriched by a powerful brass section bringing fresh winds to their sound. In October 2025, they released “Mar i Muntanya”, a cumbia rebajada born from their first international collaboration with the Mexican duo Astros de Mendoza — already spinning in DJ sets across borders. Their video "Barcelona" has even reached local TV screens (betevé), while their music sails through international airwaves like Gladys Palmera, Radio 3FM, and RTL2.
