Hailing from New Zealand, Mark already had a string of hits there before moving to Australia. Songs like 'Yesterday Was Just The Beginning Of My Life', 'It Doesn’t Matter Anymore' and 'Sweet Wine' established Mark as a favourite through the 70s. 1991 saw Mark debut one of his biggest hits 'Show No Mercy' at the NRL Final in Sydney. It shot up the charts and established him as a leading performer throughout Australasia. He took a break from touring early 2000 to be vocal coach for TV reality shows Popstars, the forerunner to Australian Idol, XFactor and The Voice all of which have used his skills to get the best out of performers. However, the pull of live gigs and recording has never been far from his sights and in 2005 he joined Dragon as the front man. Included in their shows are classics: 'Rain', 'April Sun in Cuba' and 'Are You Old Enough' and together with new material, Dragon have been touring constantly throughout New Zealand and Australia. In 2024, Mark supported Boney M, as a solo artist, on their sold-out ‘Farewell’ tour. With a legendary career spanning half a century, Mark's upcoming celebration with his 'Now and Then' show promises to be a remarkable event, reflecting his ongoing dedication to his craft and his unwavering spirit.
