Ingen Navn Trio

With the debut album “Elewha"(Berthold Records) nominated by the German Jazz Prize, the Ingen Navn Trio dives into the depth of the ocean and explores sunken sea landscapes. Bit by bit, it carries the listener further down to the seabed. The trio combines meditative, deep-sounding, and fluid improvisations with compositions and experimental elements, evoking a sound world that can even be compared to Aphex Twin. Their upcoming album, “ALTARA", set for release by Berthold Records in June 2025, takes a bold and unconventional path, blending elements of indie pop, experimental jazz, punk, techno, breakcore and drum n bass. The name "Ingen Navn," meaning "No Name" in Norwegian, reflects the trio’s ethos, embracing the freedom to express themselves without being bound by expectations, rules, or constructs. Founded by saxophonist Inga Rothammel, the trio embodies a spirit of creative independence. The Ingen Navn Trio has performed at several festivals, including the “So What’s Next Festival” (2020), “Festival Jazz International Nijmegen” (2021), “Cologne Jazzweek” (2023) with DJ Illvibe, “Jazzexzess Berlin” (2023), and “Cologne Winterjazz” (2025). They are also the proud winners of the Jazz competition of the Werner Richard-Dr. Carl Dörken Stiftung. The trio’s members include Inga Rothammel, Rocco Romano, Hendrik Eichler.
