An underground, nostalgic ambient jazz artist.
Iceblink is a side project of Lynn Avery exploring the sounds of bedroom newage, library music, warbley folk, Italian film score, and musical oddities from the Blacklands to Radiophonics. Her first album Iceblink was a 3 song collage piece, familiarizing listeners with her world of off kilter, playful score. 2020 saw the release of Carpet Cocoon on Moon Glyph records, in Portland, OR. The debut LP introduced a combination of bubbly synthesizers, new age idiosyncrasies, and medieval guitars, coalescing into a mixtape-like effort. The record was accompanied with winds by Cole Pulice and electronic-improv-floutist Mitch Stahlmann. The three also perform as Signal Quest on Orange Milk.
Iceblink plays a blend of ambient jazz, experimental electronic, and folk, drawing inspiration from library music and Italian film scores, as heard on their album "Carpet Cocoon".
Iceblink is primarily Lynn Avery, often collaborating with musicians like Cole Pulice and Mitch Stahlmann.
