Academy Award-winning Hildur Guðnadóttir is an Icelandic composer, cellist, and singer. Her solo work spans minimalism to vast soundscapes, captured across four acclaimed albums on Touch, alongside releases on Deutsche Grammophon. She is widely recognized for her film and television scores, including Joker (for which she won an Academy Award and Golden Globe), HBO’s Chernobyl (Emmy and Grammy Awards), as well as Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Mary Magdalene, and the Icelandic series Trapped. Hildur has also created music for theatre, dance, and opera, with commissions from the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra, Tate Modern, and the Royal Swedish Opera. She has collaborated with artists including Jóhann Jóhannsson, múm, Sunn O))), Ryuichi Sakamoto, Fever Ray, OSMIUM, and Throbbing Gristle.
