Usama Douglah, often known as HBB (Habibi), a DJ and Producer living in the city of Los Angeles. HBB, derived from "Habibi," an endearing term in Arabic meaning "my love" or "my dear," was raised in the lively rhythms of Baghdad, Iraq, and has since set off on an international musical journey. He left the Middle East at the age of 15 to travel to East Africa, where he stayed in Tanzania and Burundi until finishing his high school studies. HBB came to the US in 2009, when he was 19 years old, to study at the University of Southern California, where he completed his master's and undergraduate degrees in civil engineering. By day, he works as a project manager for an industrial real estate developer in Southern California, overseeing the development of warehouses. Motivated by Solomun's adaptable style, HBB declines to stick to only one genre. His sets are captivating musical journeys that skillfully combine progressive, minimal/tech, and organic tracks. HBB stands apart in the cutthroat field of DJing thanks to his ability to engage with his audience. Every performance turns into an interactive trip where the audience plays a vital role in the story. The Turning point for HBB came in 2023 when he released four original tracks under different labels, including "How I Knew" under "Strictly Records", "I Set Your Funk EP" under "Strictly Selected," and “Don’t Walk Away” under his own Label called “HBB Records”, which swept him throughout the globe.
HBB plays a blend of afro house, organic house, and progressive electronic music, with releases on labels like Strictly Records.
