"Hailing from Athens, GR, The Same River is a heavy psych rock group that combines elements of classic rock, blues, and psychedelic music to create a sound both familiar and fresh. Formed in 2019, the band has been creating songs atmospheric and abrasive at the same time, taking inspiration from the rich philosophical heritage of their hometown, delivering their unique brand of "Athenian Rock". The band's debut album, "Weight of the World", was released in May 13th 2022 and received critical acclaim for its catchy hooks, thoughtful lyrics, and dynamic musicianship gaining a spot in the Doomcharts top 20 for May '22."
