A nostalgic modern blues artist.
Founded by brothers Luther and Cody Dickinson in 1996, North Mississippi Allstars blend psychedelic folk, blues, and roots rock with the raw spirit of their Mississippi hill country roots. Inspired by legends like R.L. Burnside, Junior Kimbrough, and Otha Turner, the band quickly gained acclaim with their GRAMMY-nominated debut Shake Hands With Shorty in 2000. Over the years, they've toured globally, shared stages with Mavis Staples, Robert Plant, Buddy Guy, and more, and released a string of genre-defying albums that honor tradition while pushing boundaries. Their latest release, Still Shakin’, celebrates the 25th anniversary of their debut with a bold, electrified tribute to their roots and evolution.
North Mississippi Allstars play a blend of hill country blues, southern rock, and psychedelic folk, drawing heavily from their Mississippi roots and influences like R.L. Burnside.
