PJ Harvey
PJ Harvey’s career has always commanded attention. A multi-instrumentalist, she is primarily a vocalist, guitarist and pianist. Her catalogue features ten studio albums, most recently 2023’s Grammy-nominated I Inside the Old Year Dying. Musicians she has collaborated with include Thom Yorke, Nick Cave, Tricky, Sparklehorse, Josh Homme, John Parish, Pascal Comelade, Gordon Gano, Ramy Essam and Mark Lanegan. She is the only artist to have been awarded the Mercury Music Prize twice, in 2001 for Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea, and 2011 for Let England Shake. Accolades include an MBE for services to music, an Honorary Degree in Music at Goldsmiths, a BAFTA, eight Brit Award nominations, eight Grammy Award nominations and two further Mercury Prize nominations. She has authored two books of poetry, The Hollow of the Hand and Orlam. In theatre she scored for director Ivo Van Hove’s 2018 adaptation of All About Eve, and has worked on numerous productions by acclaimed director Ian Rickson, including 2024’s London Tide (World Premiere Recording), and Tom Morris' Othello in 2025. In television she composed the score for the drama The Virtues (Television Series Soundtrack) and co-composed with Tim Phillips for Bad Sisters (Original Series Soundtrack), winning a BAFTA for Bad Sisters (Season 2) [Original Series Soundtrack]. Her music was used throughout series 2 of Peaky Blinders.
