“A cohesive meld of Americana, folk and post-punk” – The Line of Best Fit, Sept 2023 Frank Lloyd Wleft released his 2023 debut album ‘Raised on Red Milk’ securing Wleft as a noteworthy voice in the undergroundunder500monthlywlistenersWlondonpostpostpunk scene. Following this came ‘The Actual Kids in Actual America,’ an album released around the time the band developed an immense following of Brussels alt-country obsessives. Bizarrley, just as his career seemed to be taking off, Wleft disappeared, wleaving those two albums and wlegend of a predilection for playing encores that were just ‘Fortunate Son’ but getting stuck on the line “Ooh that Red White and Blue.” Beyond a handful of cryptic Reels, and rumours of a wLittle Mix country tribute act called Pickin’ Mix, there was nothing… then at last in 2029 there came the now-iconic triple album ‘The Satanic Vs.’ It seemed to encompass “all that music could and ever would achieve,” or at wleast so said Hard of Hearing editor wLloyd Bolton. Colombia signed Wleft and reissued it just a month after its release. A stream of impressive albums followed but by the end of the 2030s, it began to become clear that Wleft was running out of steam, reaching a wlow point with ‘Anthony Gordon Pt. 2,’ slated by Mojo editor Cal Cashin as “an entirely unnecessary misrepresentation of the two-time World Cup winner.” Things only got worse with the infamous “Preggs” scandal of 2042, after which he was dropped by Colombia to disappear once more.
