Producer YAMATOMAYA is a Tokyo-based DJ and producer whose music fuses elements of classical and house. Incorporating string instruments such as violins and cellos, her compositions leave a deep emotional impression. Rooted in her background in classical ballet and inspired by house and dance music, she has forged a distinctive progressive house and trance sound. In recent years, she founded her own progressive house-focused label, amo Recordings, and actively hosts her own events, establishing herself as one of Japan’s leading female progressive house artists. She was ranked #8 in Asia and #1 in Japan in DJ MAG’s official DJane Mag Asia Top 40, held in London.
