Slow Fall
A high-energy, underground melodic death metal artist.
Founded in 2016 in Oulu, Northern Finland, Slow Fall delivers a powerful dose of Finnish melancholy, blending aggression and atmosphere into a sound both crushing and ethereal. The band’s sonic landscape shifts from aggression to hauntingly delicate acoustic passages, embracing contrasts—harsh and clean vocals, wistful melodies and fierce riffs, intricate yet groovy rhythms, and soundscapes that range from fragile to devastating, paying tribute to the changing northern seasons, where autumn’s falling leaves meet the heaviest rains. Inspired by giants like Opeth, Children of Bodom, Sentenced, Swallow the Sun and Amorphis, Slow Fall forges its own path, fusing tradition with innovation. To date, Slow Fall has released three full-length albums: Beneath the Endless Rains (2020, Inverse Records), Obsidian Waves and Blood Eclipse (2023 & 2025, Out Of Line Music). The band's first European tour in 2024 was a milestone, followed by festival appearances across 2024 and 2025. Alongside new music, Slow Fall continues actively touring across Europe in 2025. Slow Fall is committed to leaving its mark on the heritage of Finnish metal. At its core, the band exists to create music that fuels passion and purpose. The band embraces their expanding fanbase, striving for the moment when familiar faces mix with new ones, wherever their path may lead. This journey is just beginning, and Slow Fall is charging forward at full force.
