The Nielsen Valley

The Nielsen Valley is the place where I, multi-instrumentalist and producer, Laust ‘Krudtmejer’ Nielsen, have my artistic freedom, to stretch my musical ideas and personal expression. The two EP’s making up this album, was composed and produced after moving to a new place uptown Copenhagen in 2021, calling for new adventures. Two and a half years later, going through what not in life, meanwhile working as a producer and musician, this piece has come together, including some of my own favorite work so far, on this bedouin journey that making music is. The Nielsen Valley is also an imaginative place cut out in the landscape. A place where the music flows, and the vibes are strong, where you can go in good company or in solitude. That is, if you can find it, as not anyone will be able to neither hear or see it. Some will wake up in the canyon not knowing how they got there, while others will search forever without finding it. The best advice is to follow the sweet notes you hear in the distance, as they're coming from the vinyl player spinning a record not printed yet. Do you hear it, or maybe just sense it? You likely can't locate exactly what it is, understandably, as the distant sound is a remix of time and place - keep listening, and keep searching, even if you have to drift through the galaxies to get there, it's worthwhile and the place to be, if you like the vibey rays of the morning light, or the shadows of the moons, hovering over this place through day and night.
