Cláudia Ribas is a Portuguese mezzo-soprano praised for her versatility across baroque, classical and contemporary repertoire. She just finished her Young Artist’s program at Oper Frankfurt (2022–2025), where she has appeared in numerous productions including Giulio Cesare, Die Zauberflöte, Elektra, and The Enchantress. Recent and upcoming engagements include debuts at major European houses such as Luzern Theater, Malmö Opera, Mannheim Nationaltheater, and Oper Frankfurt, with roles including Carmen, Tancredi, Federica (Luisa Miller). On the concert stage, Cláudia Ribas has performed as a soloist with ensembles such as Copenhagen Phil, Aarhus Symfoniorkest, Aschaffenburg Philharmonic, and in prestigious events like the Rising Stars - Symphony and Copenhagen Opera Festival, interpreting major works including Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, Verdi Requiem, and An die Hoffnung (Max Reger). She holds a Master’s degree from the Royal Danish Academy of Music (DKDM) - Opera Academy, and a Bachelor’s degree from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Cláudia Ribas is a prizewinner of several international competitions, including multiple awards at the International Vocal Competition ’s-Hertogenbosch (First Prize, Wagner Prize, Audience Prize, Junior Jury Prize), Concurso Internacional de Lousada, and Prémio José Augusto Alegria With a wide range of repertoire, Cláudia Ribas continues to establish herself as one of the most promising Portuguese mezzo-sopranos of her generation.
