La Promenade Violence
A nostalgic, underground electro artist.
La Promenade Violence is rapidly taking the Dutch indie scene by storm. Since their formation in 2023, La Promenade Violence has built a reputation for their dark, melancholic postpunk sound—infused with the beating heart of the '80s. Think the shadowy atmosphere of New Wave, but with the energy and edge of modern indie rock. The result: a sound that is simultaneously nostalgic and forward-thinking. Their latest EP, "Failures, Future, Past" (2025)—recorded with Belgian producer Reinhard Vanbergen at Robot Studios in Ghent—immediately garnered airplay on KINK and IndieXL, among others. The single Is There Anyone? was named Indie Disc of the Week and shot to number one on the Free40 Indie Chart within three weeks. The release was celebrated with a well-attended show at the Patronaat and a stylish 10" white vinyl edition of the EP. New material will be released early 2026. Following the success of their previous release, the band returned to the studio with Vanbergen for the next step in their musical evolution. Eric Corton (KINK): "'80s-inspired New Wave that exudes a lot of what I grew up with. Dark, but with the elegance of Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music."
