King Josephine

King Josephine is a Berlin-based autodidact composer, multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter. As a glimpse into her world, King Josephine recently unveiled the debut single "Sweet Craving" followed by the award winning radio chartbreaker “Shitty Wine”. This unique blend of Pop, Blues, Soul, R&B, and Hip-Hop inspired by artists such as Neneh Cherry, Frank Ocean, Motown 60s Girlbands, Arlo Parks and Janelle Monáe captured the ears of millions across Europe, the US and Australia. King Josephine's music paints life stories of love and loss - told with a radical touch of humoristic wisdom. Recognised early for her unique voice and artistic depth she received the Listen to Berlin Award for Best Artist (2023) and was recently honoured as “Best act of the past decade” (2025) by the Berlin Music Commission. Collaborating with drummer and co-producer Giancarlo Mura, King Josephine released her debut EP Note to Self in spring 2025—a neo-soul-inspired expedition that explores the peeks and pitfalls of romance, racism, mental health, and queerness - bridging the ups and downs of her youth with empathy. With a growing listener base, a dynamic live show and her debut album in development, King Josephine is emerging as a new voice made for big stages and touching the depths of the human soul.
