Formed in 2021, the band debuted with Shapeless, earning support from Spotify editorial playlists and a feature in Guitar Magazine. They have twice sold out Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, opened for Mike Stern at the Jazz Café, and supported math-rock outfit Cobota. In 2025, singles Tierra and Pinch received national radio support from Jazz FM, BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio 6 Music, alongside editorial playlisting on Spotify and Apple Music. With over half a million streams to date and listeners drawn from the worlds of jazz, post-rock and metal, St. Barbe’s impossible-to-pin-down sound remains on a trajectory all of its own.
