JesperJesper is the new project of Jesper Albers, who you may know as the drummer of rock bands Paceshifters, Mozes and the Firstborn, and the Australian group Wolfmother. This time, he takes on the role of singer, guitarist, and songwriter. His alt-country sound, infused with touches of 90s indie rock, is reminiscent of acts like MJ Lenderman and The Jayhawks, with nods to the rootsy music of Neil Young. After numerous shows and the release of his debut EP Keep An Eye Out, Jesper and his band have entered the studio to record his debut album. Expected in 2025, the album will further expand his sound, featuring new songs that feel both raw and melancholic.
