Meedy
Meedy is a New York born, Afghan DJ/Producer & Founder of DESCENDANTS, the Afro-Electronic event experience & music label. Being a descendant of Afghan refugees, Meedy's roots drew him to the Tabla drums at age 2 which he played for 11 years and established his rhythmic foundation. He then began music production at age 13. Through his global project DESCENDANTS, Meedy has curated experiences & played alongside Afro House legends such as Cairo, Shimza, Boddhi Satva, MORDA & many others. His versatility and eclectic pallet has landed him shows at Avant Gardner, Elsewhere, Public Records, Paradiso in Amsterdam & many other iconic venues. Meedy is also the curator of the 4th largest Afro House Spotify Playlist in the world, & Founder of 'Moving House Forward' which is an annual Afro House workshop/panel during ADE.
