A homegrown, underground ambient artist.
Emi Path’s music moves in the nexus of ethereal and melancholic band-form songwriting to abstract forms and dark vocals conflated with synths and electronic elements, always with an inclination towards curiosity and experimentation. Her debut album “The Shadow” was released on May 2017. She worked with a full band set – guitar, bass, drums, violin, piano and vocals- expressing the surrealistic impressions that the mind can create, as she had experienced it in the past. It was well received by critics and many gigs followed. Gradually, Emi started experimenting with forms, electronics, drones and different sets, so she ended up with new pieces and abstract versions of some already released songs. “Circle’s” live version was released on 11th April 2020 accompanied by abstract video art and followed by “The Shadow Live” EP on 1st May, with material from her new prospect, recorded during her live performances. At the moment she is working on her second album, creating sounds and drones combining them with different instruments and vocals.
