Dauphin Åka

A futuristic sonic journey, that is what characterizes the music of Dutch artist Dauphin Åka. Inspired by the timeless sci-fi sound of the early techno pioneers and their way of blending hypnotic sounds and rhythms like colors to the mind, light or dark, bright or blurred. Driven by the mystic flow of electronica techno as a dance floor engine to connect all walks of life with the music they love. Resident of the Techno Tuesday Amsterdam club nights that take place weekly in venue Melkweg. Also played at open air festivals such as Full Moon (NL), Lief (NL), Geheime Liefde (NL) and clubs like Anomalie Art Club (DE), Paradiso (NL), WesterUnie (NL), Patronaat (NL), PIP (NL). The past decade has been a musical trip that has taken him from Detroit techno, tech house to finally return to where it all began, techno. Curious and with the urge to develop further, Dauphin Åka obtained his degree in audio engineering through Sound Education (NL). As a result, he built a hybrid studio which combines best of both worlds, hardware and software.
