Black Bile
A homegrown, underground doom metal artist.
Formed at the end of 2017, Black Bile unveiled their debut EP, "The Substance," in January 2020. Featuring four captivating doom/occult rock tracks, the EP laid the foundation for the project's poetic and tormented universe. In January 2022, a second guitarist joined the band to explore a more contemplative and visceral musical direction, evolving toward post-metal. Two months later, recording for their first album began. "L'Oratoire" will be released on October 13, 2023, by Frozen Records and Code Records. In its definition, an oratory is a place of contemplation. Beyond a religious cult or a stage in a processional march, it often serves as a place of remembrance in a broader sense. Black Bile's music has always been personal and introspective, and the themes explored in their songs touch on dreaminess, introspective journeys, mourning, processional marches, the relationship with the body and disembodiment, the spirit within matter, and what remains after death. In unison, the band members summarize what this first album represents to them: "We like to think that the album can be a personal oratory for every listener, a refuge in which one can immerse themselves and contemplate".
