Formed in Saint-Bruno, Quebec in 1980, Sword arrived with a solid sound, hard-hitting riffs, and a no-nonsense attitude. Since Metalized, the band has established itself as a true heavy metal band, with real people, playing real rock. Leading vocals is Rick Hughes, a legendary voice as powerful as a cry for freedom. On guitar, Mike Plant delivers sharp, effective, and straightforward riffs. On drums, Dan Hughes strikes with precision; it grooves and hits home. On bass, Mike Larock lays a heavy, stable foundation, with no fuss. They've toured with Metallica, Motörhead, and Alice Cooper. They've set fire to everything they've played. After a long hiatus, they're back with Sword III. Not to please, not for nostalgia, but to show that real metal is still alive. Sword, It's not a fad! This is solid rock! This is pure metal!
