Sinta Wullur
An underground chamber music artist.
Sinta Wullur was born in Indonesia and grew up with classical piano music, because her mother was a pianist. She moved to Holland when she was ten. She completed the musical studies in classical piano and composition in Amsterdam en The Hague. At the Conservatory she was introduced to the Javanese and Balinese gamelan and later to Indian raga. Indian raga and gamelan patterns became an important reservoir of her musical consciousness. This leads to the development of the chromatic gamelan Ensemble Multifoon and the cross over jazz ensembles where East meets West Blue Raag Her compositions Moods and Modes and Promenade were commissioned.
