A nostalgic, polished jazz funk artist.
Active since 2007 Calibro 35 enjoys a worldwide reputation as one of the coolest independent band around. During their career, they have been sampled by Dr. Dre on on Compton ("One Shot One Kill" feat. Snoop Dogg), JAY-Z ("Picasso Baby"), The Child of Lov & Damon Albarn ("One Day") and Demigodz ("The Summer Of Sam"). They shared stages worldwide with the likes of Roy Ayers, Sun Ra Arkestra, Sharon Jones, Thundercat, Roy Ayers, Headhunters and Robert Glasper. They've composed soundtrack music for several films and and as unique musicians, they have collaborated with, among others, PJ Harvey, Mike Patton, John Parish and Stewart Copeland and Nic Cester (Jet). Described by Rolling Stone magazine's as "the most fascinating, retro-maniac and genuine thing, that happened to Italy in the last years", Calibro 35 count on a number of aficionados worldwide.
