Crowd Of Chairs is a Belgian noise rock/postpunk band based in Ghent. The band consists of guitarist/vocalist Mitch Van Laecke, drummer/vocalist Manu Mahie, bassist Benjamin Caes & guitarist/vocalist Arjen Verswijfelt . Founded in 2014, the band got picked up fast by national promotors and grew up to one of the most exciting Belgian alternative rock acts. They like to refer to bands like Liars, Metz, Part Chimp, Sonic Youth, The Jesus Lizard, Preoccupations,….. Crowd of chairs always kept their true DIY spirit in mind while recording new music. In this way they’re very uncompromising in the way they record their albums. All albums are recorded by the band themselves in close collaboration with Kasper De Sutter & Tack. Their fourth full album ‘Breather’ will come out in Spring 2025.
