PRJCT Amsterdam
A polished, underground classical artist.
PRJCT Amsterdam is the young baroque ensemble led by countertenor Maarten Engeltjes. The ensemble consists of a permanent core of outstanding young baroque musicians with a common musical vision. In a short time, PRJCT Amsterdam has successfully established its name in the music world. The project 'A Mother's Tears', including Pergolesi's Stabat Mater and in collaboration with the writer P.F. Thomése, led to a sold out Concertgebouw in 2023. PRJCT Amsterdam also earned high praise with the programme 'If Music be the Food of Love' with Andreas Scholl, including concerts in De Doelen, TivoliVredenburg and sold-out performances in AMUZ Antwerp and Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ Amsterdam. PRJCT Amsterdam has many plans for the coming years, ranging from CD recordings and new concert series to larger projects. World stars such as Rolando Villazón and Carolyn Sampson will be involved. In the coming years PRJCT Amsterdam will perform at prestigious festivals and concert halls such as Bachfest Leipzig, Thüringer Bachwochen, Kölner Philharmonie and Concertgebouw Amsterdam.
