Loisjane
Janey Borgschot, also known as DJ Loisjane, was born on the 26th of August 1992 in Rotterdam. She grew up with dance and music. Lois used to watch her mom with admiration, while she choreographed pieces for beauty peagants she organized in the 90’s. Music and dance flow through Lois’ veins. Something that nobody knows about Loisjane is that she has a hearing disability. She can’t hear soft sounds and low tones. Her hearing disability is what makes her special, she listens and experiences music in a different way. With her dj career and productions, Lois wants to inspire kids and adults who also have hearing disabilities. Lois her motto is: ‘Giving up isn’t an option.’ LoisJane has been a dj for roughly 7+ years and has recently started producing. Her inspiration comes from her own experiences and history. A few examples of these inspirations are Chaka Demus, Beenie Man, Popcaan, Vybz Kartel, Konshens, Aidonia, Spice, Shenseea and many more.
