Wolfschmidt is a nu-gaze band from Gothenburg, Sweden, fusing dreamy guitar textures and melodic melancholy into a sound that balances vocal intimacy and high-strung intensity. Through the contrast between their chaotic edge and dark introspection, they have carved out a distinct voice within Gothenburg’s indie scene. Occupying a unique blind spot between genres, where punk-driven urgency meets shoegaze density, this fearless synthesis has become a defining strength of their music. Starting as an exploratory recording duo in 2021, Wolfschmidt has evolved into an explosive full-band live act, known for emotionally charged shows at venues like Pustervik and festivals such as Viva Summer Sounds. Following their debut EP Cosmic Joke (September 2024), the band is releasing a string of new singles throughout autumn 2025, leading up to their debut album. As part of the Excite Music Network, Wolfschmidt is appearing at festivals and venues across Europe during the fall.
