High Hills

High Hills is a band from Athens, Greece. We have guitars, drums, bass, keyboards, a trumpet, a few harmonicas and probably too many pedals. The band roots in 2018, when the ground work of what became later our first EP was set. It took a turbulent summer and another quarantine for the EP to be published. Perhaps we work best when we are at our worst. We have fought long enough with each other to define our genre. We’ll just leave it up to you. Then maybe we’ll fight you too. We like to play with sounds and approaches but in general, orbit around the mothership of “Alternative Rock”. Our influences range from stoner to techno to pop-funk. Lyrics and music are assorted and inspired by everyday life thoughts, wishes and fears. High Hills are about the travel within, the lost destinations and new directions that come up in the unexpected. We are about a glimpse of love in a city bus, the dust on an old photograph, the dread of the miracle of life, the utter blue of the Aegean sea, the witches of the modern world. As we love to say, “The Rest Is You”.
