Count Basic
Founded in 1991 by guitar player & composer Peter Legat, already their first release "All Time High" received massive international airplay. Peter teamed up with London based Ernie McKone to produce "Life think it over" (1994) featuring Valerie Etienne and NY based Kelli Sae. This collaboration turned into a long-lasting creative relationship. "M.L. in the Sunshine" and a version of Maze´s “Joy and Pain” topped the US NAC radio charts for many weeks. "Moving in the right direction" and "The Remix Hit Collection" (1996) containing no less than seven remixes of Viennas Kruder & Dorfmeister followed. "Trust Your Instincts" (1999) shows Peter Legat and vocalist Kelli Sae on top of their musical abilities. A collection of memorable songs and the outstanding vocal performance make this album a delightful musical travel through the realms of Pop, R'n'B, Soul and Jazz. “Love & Light” (2008) received the Amadeus Austrian Music Award for best album and CBs latest longplayer “Sweet Spot” (2014) was produced in Nashville by Grammy Award winners Shannon Sanders & Drew Ramsey. Live shows have always been a major element of CBs international success. The band toured worldwide performing at clubs and festivals sharing the stage with artists like Jamiroquai, Nile Rodgers´ Chic, Incognito, George Clinton, Macy Gray, The Commodores or the Afro Cuban Allstars.
