Manny Laurenko
A homegrown experimental hip hop artist.
Hailing from Philadelphia, producer Manny Laurenko has built his sound around three main pillars; bounce, pattern, and direction. Drawing inspirations from Kanye West’s powerhouse production, Pharrell Williams’ timeless bounce, and Dr. Dre’s funk-driven energy lead to him shaping his own sound. His catalog ranges from dark and mellow to uptempo futuristic psychedelic vibes. This foundation carried his production from underground collaborations to many notable artists like Veeze, A$AP Ferg, Bktherula, Kanye West, and more – having the sound continually evolve each time. In 2020, Manny Laurenko released his first project with Atlanta-raised artist TSAN, an EP titled Farewell. The collaborative six track project rippled across the east coast, catching the attention of outlets and audiences tuned into the new rising wave of hip-hop. As he consistently produced and worked alongside hometown collaborators Poundside Pop and OT7 Quanny, more momentum grew. This lead to the release of Storm Coming in 2021, which featured his breakout records “Space Boy” with LUCKI as well as “Virgil” with OT7 Quanny. Since then, Manny Laurenko has continued to grow his catalogue, collaborating with a range of diverse artists while exploring bold, experimental sounds, and unorthodox producing techniques to push his artistry.
