There's a hazy, meditative heaviness to Verses GT, not in an overtly emotional way but more as the result of intention and purpose. "Can we reduce the outlets and distill it down to its purest essence?" explains Phillipe, of their songwriting approach that sparks and insinuates throughout the concise, ten song album. "This is it. It's really betting on headspace and a feeling of being locked in."
