Chris Inperspective

Lewisham-born Chris Inperspective has been a vital force in experimental Drum & Bass since the '90s. From his early hip hop days with Pure Cut Productions to discovering hardcore through Rush and Kool FM, his deep-rooted love of breakbeat led him to found Inperspective Records in 1997—pushing soulful, leftfield D&B inspired by Reinforced and Good Looking. A pivotal friendship with Equinox and events like Innersense shaped his vision, leading to iconic collaborations and the launch of Technicality nights in 2001—renowned for championing boundary-pushing sounds. Chris has since played global stages from Rupture to Renegade Hardware and festivals like Boomtown and Wireless. Also known for his long-running Hoxton FM show and his role in the Black Junglist Alliance, Chris remains a champion for innovation and equity in the scene.
