Oscar Sibonginkosi Mdlongwa, known globally as Oskido, is a South African DJ, producer, and co-founder of Kalawa Jazmee Records. With a career spanning over three decades, Oskido has shaped the evolution of kwaito, house, Afropop, and amapiano. He’s been instrumental in launching the careers of icons like Bongo Maffin, Mafikizolo, Black Coffee, DJ Zinhle, and DJ Maphorisa. In 2025, he launched the Heritage Remix Series, reimagining classics from his catalog alongside legendary producers and fresh talent like Manoo, Dr Feel, and the duo Atmos Wav. Oskido’s legacy is one of constant reinvention and commitment to the future of African music. Beyond music, he’s a cultural tastemaker and entrepreneur, continuously bridging the gap between heritage and innovation.
