Insomnia Band

InΣomnia Band was formed in Ioannina in 1989 by Johnny Siamoutas (vocals/bass) and Tasos Siamoutas (guitar). The lineup was later completed with the addition of Dionysis Xaxiris (vocals/rhythm guitar), Tasos Tzomakas (drums), and the band's newest member, Vasilis Bellos (drums). They began recording original songs with English lyrics in demos, home recordings and professional studios of the era. Their sound charges across the full spectrum of rock and hard rock music. Live performances were their natural habitat a space where they could truly express themselves and evolve musically. In 1997, they played their final live show at Mavili Square by the lake. Immediately afterward, due to family obligations and Dionysis's relocation to Athens and despite that period of inactivity, the band never formally came to an end . In November2014 17years later they decided to return to live performances and complete "the work left unfinished", as they say. Three years later, in 2017, they released their LP The Milion via Noisyland Recordings In 2018, they released their debut digital video single Bloody Horn, followed by Mavri Komodia in 2020, Mikro in 2021, Hole Song in June 2022, and Madman in February 2024 all directed by Kostis Emmanouilidis. In March 2024, they released their latest EP titled Basement Tapes.
