Amajoyo was born out of a deep love for Afro-infused electronic music and the desire to create something bigger than a party—a cultural movement. Co-founder and international DJ De La Noise drew inspiration from his tours through South Africa, Bali, and beyond. The soulful energy of Afro house and the spiritual vibe of melodic house sparked a vision: to fuse the global with the local, the electronic with the organic, and the party with real purpose. The name Amajoyo itself is layered with meaning. It nods to "Amajuba", a region in South Africa once known as Utrecht—linking to De La Noise’s Dutch roots in the province of Utrecht in the Netherlands. Combined with the spirit of celebration—"I’ma enjoy yo"— Amajoyo became a symbol of joy, rhythm, and unity.
