Kathleen MacInnes is a Scottish singer and composer. She was born and raised in South Uist, Outer Hebrides. MacInnes, who is a native speaker of Scottish Gaelic, began her musical career with songs in this traditional language. MacInnes received critical acclaim with her debut album Òg-Mhadainn Shamhraidh (Summer Dawn) in 2006, and won the "Gaelic Singer of the Year" award at the 2006 Scottish Traditional Music Awards.
