Lemon Straw
LEMON STRAW is a Belgian Pop/Folk Band formed by Giani Sabia (Vocals/Guitar/Piano), Boris Iori (Lap Steel Guitar/Harmonica), Grégory Chainis (Bass) & Martin Moreau (Drum) The band was formed in 2008, one evening at Penn Station in New York. After working in a factory for 5 years, Giani (the singer) decided to leave everything behind and moved to London and New York, where he began composing and writing his first songs. The name of the band refers to John Lennon and the straw that Giani served in the bars in London. In 2015, the band released its second album (Running Home), allowing them to share the stage with artists such as Roger Hodgson and Etienne Daho, and they were nominated for the Décibels Music Awards in the “ Band of the Year ” category in 2016. In 2020, the single “Angels Never Die,” widely broadcast on radio, allows the band to confirm its position on the Belgian scene & expand its audience on streaming platforms. The band will release its fourth album (JUMP) in January 2025.
