Ashbury
A nostalgic, underground epic black metal artist.
Ashbury is an Epic Rock duo founded by brothers Randy and Rob Davis in Tucson, AZ. With a sound blending electric and acoustic guitars, they independently released their debut album ENDLESS SKIES in 1983. The brothers turned down an offer from Polydor Records and spent some years out of the music business. Over the next few years ENDLESS SKIES became a very popular underground album among fans of the Metal genre, and the brothers attained underground cult Rock legend status. The original vinyl pressing became a highly sought after collector's LP valued at over $500.00. Fans and collectors began contacting the Davis brothers for the original LP and also requesting CDs. ENDLESS SKIES was first replicated to CD in 1995 by the brothers but soon Record Labels in the U.S. and Europe would come knocking. Their next album SOMETHING FUNNY GOING ON was released in 2004, and 2 years later Ashbury signed with Rockadrome Records for a reissue of ENDLESS SKIES on CD and Vinyl. High Roller Records in Europe released both albums on Vinyl in 2016, with Ashbury performing live shows again at prestigious Festivals like PSYCHO LAS VEGAS, FROST & FIRE I-IV, RAGNAROKKR and in Europe at KEEP IT TRUE, MUSKELROCK, METALHEADZ OPEN AIR, HARDER THAN STEEL and HAMMER OF DOOM to high critical acclaim. Interviewed in over 50 publications from 2010 to 2020, the Davis brothers were also featured in IRON FIST magazine in 2015. Ashbury's 3rd album EYE OF THE STYGIAN WITCHES was released in 2018.
