Uncut original soul straight from the heart When during corona, seven Amsterdam musicians immersed themselves in their favorite soul and rhythm & blues songs, Soul Survivors was born. With a setlist packed with soul classics, they quickly built a reputation on Amsterdam's reopened live music scene. The band then used this musical suitcase to write powerful songs of their own. Soul Survivors gave dazzling performances in many Dutch clubs and big jazz and blues festivals last season, The band has also gained a foothold in Germany, UK and Spain in a short time with a growing fan base and performances. In 2024, Soul Survivors released their debut album The Road Ahead with ten original soul stompers. The compositions are rooted in the classics from the 60s and 70s by Motown and Stax, but also have a modern soul vibe. The album received raving reviews from the soul & blues scene at home and abroad. The band is now relentlessly working on new material in their own Rock Supplies studios, to release and incorporate into their live set. Singer Remko Spaaij goes all out, stirring up and captivating the audience with his dark soul voice and energetic performance. The band alternates steamy soul songs with blues and rock bangers.
