Thanos Kalliris is a successful Greek singer, songwriter, producer and voice actor with both local and international career actively spanning over four decades from mid 80’s until now. Born in Athens, Greece in 1962, son and grandson of successful musicians, kicked off his career at an early age by fronting various bands as a singer/guitar player and composer. Fame came in 1987 when as a member of a pop band duo named “Bang”, they represented Greece in the 1987 Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Stop”. As a member of “Bang” they collaborated with various important music industry legends such as Shep Bettibone, Bob Kraushaar etc, also released records worldwide. He begun a very successful solo career in 1991 releasing 10 solo albums and numerous singles up to date. Among them, there is one Christmas album that is considered as one of the “classics” in the Greek recording history. Presented with various music awards, gold and platinum records throughout his career. Co-founder of the “The Smile Of The Child”, a huge philanthropic organisation in Greece. As a voice actor made a personal “hit” lending his voice to character “King Julian” in the 3 animated movies “Madagascar”.
