Philadelphia ska band Catbite has been redefining the genre since their 2018 formation, blending elements of punk, new wave, and pop rock. Known for their electrifying live shows, they've toured with acts like The Bouncing Souls, Jeff Rosenstock, Screaming Females, and Laura Jane Grace. Now, Catbite is set to release their most ambitious project yet: 'Doom Garden', out May 9, 2025, via Bad Time Records. Produced by Grammy winner Sarah Tudzin (boygenius, illuminati hotties), the EP showcases the band's growth and evolving songwriting. Inspired by Hieronymus Bosch’s 'The Garden of Earthly Delights', vocalist Brit Luna reflects on themes of self-exploration and morality. "It’s really difficult to look inward and feel like you’re a terrible person," Luna shares. "These songs helped me begin to heal parts of myself that I had long forgotten or pushed away. Being human is hard, but it’s not all bad." The EP also features collaborations that see Catbite’s sound expand even further, including a track co-written and performed with Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump and guest vocals from Zayna Youssef of Sweet Pill. With 'Doom Garden', Catbite continues to evolve, cementing their place as one of the most exciting bands in modern ska and beyond.
