Jessica Moss
An underground electroacoustic artist.
Jessica Moss is a Montréal-based violinist and composer known for her immersive solo performances and longform electroacoustic compositions. A former member of Thee Silver Mt. Zion and co-founder of Black Ox Orkestar, she has released six solo albums on Constellation Records, including the forthcoming Unfolding (October 2025). Moss builds her live sets in real time using violin, voice, loopers, and effects—eschewing pre-programmed sequences in favour of deep listening and live ritual. Her practice spans performance, spatial sound, and interdisciplinary research, including collaborations with PHI Centre, the Institut Quantique, and the Novarumori Ensemble. Her 2024 benefit album For UNRWA was exhibited in Italy as part of a program on art and resistance. In fall 2025, she joins Swans as opening act on their European and UK tour.
